This is an set of 6 clear cut glass salt dips or open salts in the Honeycomb or Diamond pattern made 1890-1910 in England.

Each open salt or salt dip measures .75 inch high by 2 inches in diameter and has 6 sides and a 12 point cut star bottom.

This salt is pictured on page 147 of 5000 Open Salts by Heacock and Johnson.

The salt dips or salt cellars are in very good used vintage condition but they all exhibit wear. There are tiny fleabite chips on all of them on the facet edging or the interior ring and one has a facet point chip, and there are a couple of tiny bubbles from manufacturing.

But they are still a neat set for tea table or dining table.

Open salts are also currently being repurposed as ring holders, teabag holders and as individual sauce, cream or jam servers. Very versatile!
